Features of private schools
Sweden has a small number of fee-paying private schools and international schools. One of the main differences between public and private schools is that private schools are not required to teach the Swedish National Curriculum. However, most private schools choose to follow this curriculum so that educational expectations and standards remain consistent across the country. Annual tuition fees at private schools typically range from SEK 30,000 to 100,000+. Because public and independent schools are free, of high quality and highly respected, international schools in Sweden are primarily designed for international students. International school fees vary by municipality and individual school.
